Providing Horticultural Solutions for Generations to Come

ABOUT OUR FOUNDER

Samantha Quoos began her love of gardening at a young age while watching her many family members with green thumbs. It was not only a hobby for them but a way of life. The Bramble and Beech is an homage to Samantha’s roots, from the raspberry patch she ate fresh berries from every summer to the ancient beech tree she and her cousins played under growing up. In her teen years, Samantha made the life changing decision to attend Bristol County Agricultural High School where she ultimately chose to study landscaping. She loved every aspect of her classes and knew that the green industry is where she would flourish. With the guidance of her amazing educators, she continued her studies at the University of Massachusetts Amherst Stockbridge School of Agriculture where she earned an associates degree in Horticulture and a bachelor’s degree in Urban Forestry. Since then she has worked for retail garden centers and landscape companies, and has become a Massachusetts Certified Horticulturalist. Samantha wanted to create an ideal workplace not only for herself, but for future employees. In the spring of 2021, The Bramble and Beech was born.

Running her own business has been a life long goal, and as a local business owner Samantha strives to stay connected to the communities that inspire her everyday. Samantha currently sits on the Stockbridge Alumni Board as well as the Bristol Aggie Landscape Alumni Board in hopes of guiding the next generation of green industry professionals. She is also a proud member of the Massachusetts Nursery and Landscape Association.

Samantha’s passion comes through in her work, and she will put her heart and soul into making your outdoor spaces something very special.

“I think staying connected to our roots and fostering a strong sense of community is the best way to overcome the industry challenges we face today. We cannot effectively problem solve without supportive communication and a solid network.”
